Come out to Portola Pastures and work with Project HumaneKind to learn about all aspects of horse care, animal and equine behavior and welfare. Portola Pastures has approximately 75 horses on-site and is looking for four youth volunteers (ages 14+) a day. A parent is welcome to join you if they are interested.

Daily service will be Monday through Friday for 2 hours maximum between the hours of 10am to 2pm. The service time will be dependent on certain factors including the weather.
When you email to sign up, please let Jennifer know if you would like to volunteer from 10am to 12pm or 12pm to 2pm. When coming to do service please wear close-toed shoes and clothes that can get dirty. It is suggested you also wear sunscreen, wear a hat and bring a water bottle.
Prior to service, you will receive a phone call of the confirmed service time with all the details needed including a location pin for Portola Pastures.
