Ravenswood Little League is seeking dedicated, positive, and reliable volunteers to serve as Assistant Coaches for the full 2026 Spring baseball season. Assistant Coaches play an important role in supporting the Team Manager and helping create a safe, structured, and encouraging environment for all players.
To provide consistency and the best experience for our youth athletes, Assistant Coaches are asked to commit to supporting their team for the entire season.
Assistant Coach Responsibilities Include: Supporting the Team Manager during practices and games Helping run drills and skill-building activities Encouraging teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes Assisting with player supervision and safety Helping with equipment setup and dugout organization Providing consistent support and leadership throughout the season Utilizing GameChanger App to keep or follow the score of the game, substitutions, for the team and manager(training will be provided)
No prior coaching or playing experience is required—just reliability, patience, and a willingness to be present for the team week after week. Training and guidance will be provided by the Team Manager and league leadership.
By committing as an Assistant Coach for the season, you help ensure players benefit from stability, mentorship, and a positive team experience that reflects the values of Ravenswood Little League. Teams will begin practicing on February 21st. Each Team has their own practice day and times. There are 4 teams. Teams will practice on Saturdays until the season begins. Each team has a date during the week to practice after school beginning March 9th. The games begin March 24th 2026 and go through June 2nd. Starting 3/24/26 Games are Tuesdays, and Thursdays with arrival at 5pm- 8pm. Saturday Games are 12pm-3pm and 3pm-6pm All games and practices are at Martin Luther King Park 435 Daisy Lane East Palo Alto.
