Youth Volunteer Opportunities – Baseball Umpires & Field Crew
We’re looking for responsible, enthusiastic youth volunteers to support our local baseball program as umpires and field crew members. This is a great opportunity to earn community service hours, build leadership skills, and stay connected to the game of baseball.
Youth Umpires will: Officiate games for younger divisions Help ensure a safe, fair, and fun environment for all players Develop confidence, communication, and decision-making skills Receive basic training and mentorship from league staff Field Crew Volunteers will: Assist with field setup and cleanup before and after games Help manage equipment and keep dugouts organized Support game day operations to ensure everything runs smoothly Learn teamwork, responsibility, and event coordination skills
No prior experience is required—just a positive attitude, reliability, and a willingness to learn. Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, gain service hours, and be part of a supportive team environment. The games begin March 24th 2026 and go through June 2nd.
Games are Tuesdays, and Thursdays with arrival at 5pm- 8pm.
Saturday Games are 12pm-3pm and 3pm-6pm
All games are at Martin Luther King Park 435 Daisy Lane East Palo Alto.
Umpires will receive Umpire shirt at the beginning of the season.
There will be an umpire training scheduled in late February TBD.
Volunteers must be 13+ years of age.
