The Sparklez Children’s Business Fair is a vibrant, youth-led marketplace where young entrepreneurs ages 6–16 launch their very own businesses and sell handmade products or services to the community. Now in its second annual year in Palo Alto, this empowering event nurtures innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial spirit in the next generation of changemakers.
Founded by 10-year-old social entrepreneur Myra Saxena, SCBF is part of her 501(c)(3) nonprofit Sparklez, which aims to inspire purpose and passion through STEM, creativity, and youth leadership. With roots in Virginia and now thriving in California, this initiative has supported hundreds of kidpreneurs and raised over $10,000 for youth empowerment causes.

We're inviting dedicated students to join our SCBF Summer Volunteer Internship! Though unpaid, this opportunity offers official volunteer hours, valuable experience, and a front-row seat to shaping Silicon Valley’s next generation of youth entrepreneurs.
Marketing & Communications
Create and schedule weekly social media posts
Share event promotions in local parent and school groups
Post flyers in local businesses and libraries
Coordinate with local news outlets and help line up podcast/media interviews
Draft engaging email blasts
Graphics & Content Creation
Design eye-catching flyers, banners, slide decks
Produce fun, short-form videos and reels for social media
Develop visuals for marketing and event-day signage
Data & Operations
Maintain and update Excel databases
Track participant signups and contact info
Organize business trends and create visuals/graphs for reports
