Project HumaneKind is offering an internship for high school students during the coming summer. Students can propose a project that identifies a community issue involving animal welfare and undertake a written report, a PowerPoint presentation, or a video illuminating the issue and proposed solutions. Projects could address such issues as environmental harm from poisons, issues facing animal shelters, community care of “unowned” cats, or encouraging spaying and neutering and responsible care of animals. Ideas are welcome! Project HumaneKind staff will work with students and check in with them on their progress. Completed projects will be added to Project HumaneKind’s educational resources and used in its programs. Community service hours are available. The internship is ideal for small groups of students who enjoying working with each other.
