The YCS Middle School Leadership Core is a program where youth build service learning projects after-school and on their campus to address critical issues in our community. We meet weekly on Wednesday from 4:30 pm - 5:30 pm.

All middle school students from Santa Clara or San Mateo Counties are welcome.

All high school students from Santa Clara or San Mateo Counties are welcome. Register here to be a Peer Leader, Advocate, or YCS Corps member. Learn what all of that means here.

NOTE: Peer Leaders meet in person on the first Thursday of every month from 6:00-7:30pm. Peer Leaders also meeting weekly over Zoom in their project groups. 2025-26 project groups are listed below:

Community Building and Early Childhood (Mondays, 7:00pm)Environmental Sustainability (Mondays, 7:15pm)Mental Health (Mondays, 7:30pm)Public Health (Tuesdays, 6:00pm)Healthcare for All (Wednesdays, 6:00pm)Suicide Prevention (Wednesdays, 7:00pm)Connection & Art (Thursdays, 7:00pm)

Each group will plan and lead a service project over the course of the school year.
