Volunteers will be participating in Nightmare On Vote Street event that is promoting voter participation in the upcoming November 2024 election from 4:30-9:30PM at Bloomhouse EPA.
About the Event:
Nightmare on Vote Street is more than just a fun Halloween-inspired gathering; it’s a civic engagement event designed to bring together the youth of East Palo Alto, youth-focused nonprofit organizations, and the candidates running to represent our community in upcoming elections. Our goal is to inspire greater youth participation ahead of the November 2024 elections through interactive activities and meaningful community outreach.
We’ll have over 10 nonprofit organizations participating in a friendly competition of trunk-o-treat decoration. This is a great opportunity to show off your creativity, engage with the community, and build stronger connections with youth in East Palo Alto. Plus, it’s all in the spirit of friendly fun, and you might even walk away with the title of “Best Trunk-o-Treat Display”!
In addition to the trunk-o-treat competition, Nightmare on Vote Street will feature:
Event Highlights:
- A passport-style interactivity that will include a fun “Debate a Candidate” booths!
- A youth-led candidates forum with candidates running for local offices
- A Mock ballot casting of votes for the People’s Poll!
