All high school students from Santa Clara or San Mateo Counties are welcome. Register here to be a Peer Leader, Advocate, or YCS Corps member. Learn what all of that means here.

NOTE: Peer Leaders meet in person on the first Thursday of every month from 6:00-7:30pm. Peer Leaders also meeting weekly over Zoom in their project groups. 2025-26 project groups are listed below:

Community Building and Early Childhood (Mondays, 7:00pm)Environmental Sustainability (Mondays, 7:15pm)Mental Health (Mondays, 7:30pm)Public Health (Tuesdays, 6:00pm)Healthcare for All (Wednesdays, 6:00pm)Suicide Prevention (Wednesdays, 7:00pm)Connection & Art (Thursdays, 7:00pm)

Each group will plan and lead a service project over the course of the school year.

East Palo Alto's Youth Leadership Core for Emergency & Disaster Preparedness is an exciting, hands-on program designed to train youth in emergency preparedness, leadership, and service-learning. Through this initiative, high school students will gain real-world skills while making a direct impact in East Palo Alto neighbourhoods. Programming will be held once a month on Saturday for 6 hours from September 2025 to June 2026. Participants will:

Learn life-saving disaster preparedness techniquesEngage in door-to-door community outreachAssess neighborhood safety & emergency readinessBuild leadership, teamwork, and public speaking skills

Become eligible to receive a scholarship of up to $245 a semesterEarn over 60 service hoursComplete certifications such as CPR and Youth CERTTrain alongside emergency preparedness experts

Fun filled day full of aviation opportunities. Volunteers needed for security, greeters, traffic management, setup, teardown and general activities.

Volunteers 14 and up welcome. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers. Please use the link on the attached flier to signup as a volunteer. There will be a waiver that is required to be signed by all participants. If under 18 please have your guardian sign and bring with you the day of.
