The Palo Alto Weekly's 41st Annual Moonlight Run and Walk at the Palo Alto Baylands is coming up on October 3rd. Presented by the City of Palo Alto, the event will host over 2,000 participants taking part in the 5K walk, 5K run, or 10K run. This year, proceeds will go to local nonprofits supporting both kids and families and local independent journalism. We need dozens of volunteers to make this event a success and would love your support!
Volunteers Welcome! Opportunities for youth 15 + and adult volunteers to help.
Volunteers are needed for various roles, including course monitors, crowd and traffic control, t-shirt distribution, and bikers to accompany runners (adults only). Volunteers should arrive by 4:45 pm and stay until 10:30 pm. Early departures are not possible, so please sign up only if you can stay until the end. In appreciation, you’ll receive a free long-sleeve Moonlight Run t-shirt and pizza for dinner.
You can volunteer as an individual or with a group of friends. It’s a fun way to participate in the event and contribute to a great cause. Youth volunteers will be organized into teams and supervised by adults. We welcome high school clubs, athletic teams, scout troops, family groups, and service groups to join us.
