This volunteer opportunity takes place every other Saturday (August 2, August 16, August 30, September 13, September 27). Due to the nature of farmers' market volunteering, volunteers must be over the age of 16 or accompanied by a parent. Volunteers under the age of 18 must have a parent fill out a virtual waiver on their behalf. We accept 2 volunteers per day at the San Mateo Farmers' Market.
Our Community Compost Collections at the San Mateo Farmers' Market allows folks to divert their compostable food waste into gardening compost to grow nourishing fruits and vegetables! Volunteering will consist of assisting with compost collections, so please be prepared for strong smells and wear clothes that you don't mind getting dirty. San Mateo Compost Collections take place EVERY OTHER Saturday from 8:30am-12:30pm at the San Mateo Farmers' Market.
